Why an endowment fund?

By creating an endowment fund, we hope to build a support system for the parks and recreation needs of Fircrest residents for generations to come. With the help of our fiscal partner, the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, our investments will grow over time.

We expect to begin awarding grants in 2022.

  • We want to build an endowment to help support Fircrest parks and recreational programming forever.

  • There is value in sustainable long-term funding that is detached from the city's budgeting process.

  • Fircrest parks and recreational programming are core community assets that should be enhanced for future generations.
