The goal of the 2022 100 FOREVER campaign is to get at least 100 community members to donate what they can to The Fircrest Parks And Recreation Foundation (FPRF) endowment by the end of the year. We want to get as many residents as possible involved with the FPRF, so we are focusing our 2022 fundraising efforts on the number of donors rather than the size of individual donations. Whatever you can give will continue to support our wonderful parks, literally forever!

The FPRF was started by a group of Fircrest residents in 2020 in conjunction with the Pool and Rec Center Projects. The concept was to create a sustainable endowment that would be used to, “preserve and enhance the quality of Fircrest Parks and Recreation facilities and programming with a focus on community, livability and equity.” We partnered with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF) to create an endowed donor-advised fund and to date, more than seventy community members have donated over $250,000. With a conservative spending policy, the FPRF will be able to make annual grants in support of our parks Fircrest Parks forever. This year we will be making initial grants totaling $7,300!
